My name is Jessica Jones, and I am a librarian/manager/information literacy advocate.

I read a lot, but that’s not what makes me a librarian. I love standardization, digitization, digital works, classification policies, and the Library of Congress Authorities, but that’s only part of what makes me a librarian. I’m a librarian because I believe in equal access to information and education.

Currently, I manage a public library branch, but I have also worked in academic and research libraries, and I have loved them all. I specialize in issues of information literacy, access methods, preservation, cataloging, management, and reference.

  1. Hello Ms. Jones,

I commented on your post in Library Lost & Found and you mentioned having thoughts on libraries in New Mexico–I would love to hear them!

Looking forward to a southwest conversation,
